What is the Montessori method?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Montessori is a method of education based upon the research findings of the Italian doctor and educator Maria Montessori (1870-1952). The method highlights the child-centered approach. Children are offered a carefully-crafted environment furnished with specially designed hands-on materials and are guided by qualified and competent faculty.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Sakura Montessori International School System, classrooms are divided into multi-age groupings, from 15 months to 3 years old and from 3 to 6 years old. During the Montessori sessions, children are free to choose the activities that meet their individual interests and developmental needs. Teachers observe and tailor lessons to each child\u2019s capabilities, ultimately unlocking their innate potential.<\/span><\/p>\n
